Is this really Labour’s legacy of 13 years ?

Very interesting the latest letter by Conservative Chairman and Cabinet Minister Baroness Warsi outlining the catastrophic position that Labour has placed  us in over the past 13 years but yet they are not taking blame for their actions. If this is the case as the Minister has put it, and  in accordance with what the new government has been saying, this  can only paint a very dim picture of Labour  in the  lead up to the  general elections . One now gets the impression it that it was all a  smoke screen to hide the actual truth.

The Labour government spent huge sums of money and left us to deal with the biggest budget deficit in ourpeacetime history. But what we didn’t know was just how wasteful they were with our money.

What was interesting as set out in the letter was the wasting £12 billion on an NHS computer system that didn’t work and also kitting out regional fire offices with £6,000 luxury coffee-making machines. One has to ask the question in a Jamaican Patois slang “ weh di money deh” Maybe Liam Byrne really was not joking when he said there is no money to David Lawes.

I guess it is now the responsibility of good Government with proper governance to steer Britain in the right path of economic independence and for there be the creation of confidence in the market place at this time to enable greater stimulus. Many opportunities are being presented while the cuts are being formalised and I was reminded recently that no major cuts are in place as yet as there are still consultations in process.

Well who knows there is still some light at some of these exit tunnels, at least debt collectors can now start recruiting to recoup some of these fraudulent benefits claim!!!

Below It’s time to expose Labour’s legacy

Dear xxx

We all know that over 13 years the last Labour government spent huge sums of money and left us to deal with the biggest budget deficit in our peacetime history. But what we didn’t know was just how wasteful they were with our money.

From wasting £12 billion on an NHS computer system that didn’t work to kitting out regional fire offices with £6,000 luxury coffee-making machines, Labour showed complete contempt for taxpayers’ money up and down this country.

Despite this reckless spending and waste, Labour remain in complete denial about their legacy. They blame the bankers, the recession, the global downturn – everyone and anyone – except themselves.

Today, I gave a speech to begin the process of exposing Labour’s waste. This video : http://lists.webcameron.org.uk/a/tBMYpTRB8LI84B8R$fMBVXqTT.BLCYr1wI/cons3

exposes some of the most shocking examples of Labour’s legacy.

Labour’s incompetent handling of our economy will hit all of our pockets. The cuts to come are Labour’s cuts. So, it’s only fair that the people responsible should share some of the pain. That’s why today I have written to each of Labour’s leadership candidates asking them to voluntarily give up their severance pay, worth £20,000 each. Forfeiting this pay would be the first step towards rehabilitation, and the first time they had come to terms with the mistakes of the past.

In the coming weeks and months, the Coalition will be making its own contributions to exposing the truth. We are going to shine a light on every aspect of Labour’s total lack of respect for taxpayers’ money. If you feel as strongly about exposing Labour’s legacy as I do, please forward this message

to five friends or family. This is a big job, but the Coalition is determined to take the difficult and responsible decisions to get our country back on track. Sayeeda Warsi’s

Retro spec is all good and dandy. None of this can help us the public as we face massive cuts to the public service.

Methinks this blame the last guy thing is wearing thin. Both Labour and Tory spend the first five year of every parliment blaming the other guy, then spend the next 5 mucking it up for the next guy. They all live the life of Riley while we the public struggle no matter who is in power. Grown ups don’t play like that.

You are right the Bitter Pill is always taken by the public. I am never a supporter of passing blames but I think in this ocassion there are certain facts which need to be know of how Labour ran the country as will be the same way Tory will be scrutinized if and when they are out of power. So might as well let the people know what is happening, i am am in support of that.
